This album is about my struggles this year with finding pieces of myself I lost after a year and a half of protesting. It's about my struggles with mental health and suicidal ideation. It's about my love for someone I hope to never lose and how scary the thought of that is... I just hope I didn't already lose them by saying too much. I have struggled with returning to my hobbies, especially writing. Honestly. there have been many times I have been so frustrated I have nearly smashed my guitar because I was so upset I couldn't write. It feels good to finally share the things I've come up with recently, as well as some things I've been holding onto for a while. My sole identity has been activism and now I need to figure out myself beyond that, while also continuing that of course. I have been extremely unwell to say the very least, so this was pretty therapeutic today to create all in one sitting. Anyway, send love, listening ears, and if you so wish, money. Enjoy the album, thanks, Sammie. Please don't call me Samm anymore. I'm also gender-fluid, femme presenting, though clothes don't have a gender. Okay, enjoy.
